Thank you for signing the petition to support AARP taking action on climate.
One of the most impactful ways you can help the climate is by upgrading your home’s polluting fossil fuel appliances to clean, efficient, electric ones.
If you’re willing and able to take the next step, we’re asking you, our California AARP petition signatories, to undertake an electrification project in your own home, working with an organization called QuitCarbon. The objective is twofold: to save costs and increase comfort in your home, and also to report back to us on your experience with QuitCarbon.
Here’s why: After careful assessment of both the barriers to electrification and of the organizations that offer assistance with the transition, we believe QuitCarbon has significant potential to help AARP members in California make the switch to clean energy in their homes. But before we launch a formal partnership with QuitCarbon and advocate for it to AARP, we need to hear your real-life experience of what it’s like to work with QuitCarbon.
Working with QuitCarbon is free. You should expect them to help you to:
- figure out which clean energy upgrades are best for your home
- maximize your cost savings and rebates
- connect you with vetted local contractors
— all for free!
Please help us “test drive” QuitCarbon to see if it can help AARP members take climate action.
